By creating an account or using ChatVerify ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. ChatVerify is operated by Lanphier Ventures LLC, a Colorado limited liability company doing business as ChatVerify.
You must be at least 18 years old to use ChatVerify. By using the App, you represent that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users found to be under 18.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile photo current and representative of your actual appearance. You may not create accounts on behalf of others or use another person's identity.
ChatVerify uses facial recognition technology to verify that you are a real human being. Your trust score reflects the number of verified in-person meetups you have completed. Attempting to manipulate your trust score through fraudulent meetups, using photos of other people, or any other deceptive means is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination.
Meetup codes are single-use, expire after 15 minutes, and must be confirmed via QR code scan in person. You may not share meetup codes remotely or use them to falsely claim an in-person meeting occurred.
When you share your verified profile, the recipient can view your handle, profile photo, verified status, and trust score for 24 hours. You consent to this information being visible to anyone who receives your share link.

ChatVerify collects and processes facial biometric data for identity verification purposes. By using the verification feature, you explicitly consent to this collection and processing. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how biometric data is handled.
ChatVerify offers free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All billing, refunds, and cancellations are governed by Apple's or Google's terms of service respectively. Lanphier Ventures LLC does not directly process payment information.
All content, design, and technology in ChatVerify is owned by Lanphier Ventures LLC. You retain ownership of your profile photo but grant us a license to display it within the App and on verification share pages.
ChatVerify verifies that a user is a real human being based on facial recognition. We do not verify identity documents, criminal history, or any other personal information. Verification does not guarantee the safety of any in-person meeting. Always exercise personal judgment and take appropriate safety precautions when meeting anyone in person.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lanphier Ventures LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of ChatVerify. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States.
